i don't really read other peoples blogs too mcuh these days. but back in the day, i read a few of them regularly. probably one of the FIRST ever blogs i discovered was PINKISTHENEWBLOG. i enjoyed it reading trent's updates because well, it's full of the latest and juiciest celeb gossips!! and come on, who doesnt love reading about what britney spears was doing last night?! i know everyone does to some extent in their lives...
PITB (for short..) is created by trent vanegas, who is an ex-teacher from detroit, USA. most of his readers basically know who he is cause in pretty much every entry, at the end he fills us in on his own personal life. so we get to know about his gay lover, fmaily and friends, not to mention all the coool gigs he gets to attend ... eg. like, meeting his idol MADONNA. guess you could say he's a bit like PEREZ HILTON, a fellow blogger, who is also gay && LOVES PINK! in my opinion the difference is,... trent was here first!
the blog's content is entertainment, news and gossip!! in each entry, trent gives his audience the latest celeb gossip, complete with pictures (some are explicit!) and he also adds his own personal opinion to each news item. after talknig bout celebs, he likes to talk about his own life and what he gets up to everyday.
the blog has been operating for several years now...since 2004, so that's almost 4 years of blogging!! =D woww he is dedicateddd.
pinkisthenewblog has been quoted in various media products such as magazines like cosmopolitan and cleo. as myself have observed over the years...many celebs are also affliated with him...for example... joel madden of good charlotte...that boy is good friends with trent. =)
the blogs style is basically that used by blogspot or blogger.com and uses pink and black. the background is black and the font colours used are pink, however, where trent copies and pastes excerpts from news articles, he puts them in white font. there are also a number of different ads placed down either side of the page as you scroll down. oh and did i mention he also writes in BOLD each celebritys name, so you know who he is talking bout. trent also personalises his pictures by captionalising each pic.
so i guess you could say that pinkisthenewblog has become quiite popular over the 4 years, amongst those who love reading about celebs. its soo juiicyyy and enjoyable for people who like reading SOFT news. =)
but...personally...in recent months...i think perez hilton has taken over as most popular blogger.... =)

we are broken.
i feel like venting. but not too much. too much will get me in trouble.
i find it sad when people think the world revolves around them. and when they're pushing others out of their lives. it's sad, because it's not fair to those that still want to spend time with you. for fun times. it's happening to me. it's happening to other people i know. it's not fair on us.
i miss the days where we would all just hang out, and have a good time. =] felt like there were no cares in the world. we were all like, a team. a group that supported each other.
where have those days gone?
i feel like those memories are slowly slipping away ...hanging by a thread.
one day. soon. i hope you welcome us back into your lives.
so. even though, i'm just gonna keep living my life the way i want to, i want my friends back.it's a new year. time for a fresh start. with friends, new and old.

2008 WOOT! a new year!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
well, last night was freakiin awesome! first time i have actually drank more than 1 alcoholic drink on NYE hahaha. GOOOOD STUFF! watched the fireworks from milson's point. fireworks were insanely good <3 they're always pretty awesome, i reckon. the day/night brought plenty of randomness ie. talking to firemen, plunking our asses in the middle of the road (lol that doesn't happen EVERY day!). not to mention ... EVERYONE got pretty sunburnt. even me! and i don't usually get it.
what is quiite funny...the friends i spent nye with were basically all people i have met and only known in 2007! i now know the people who i would rather hang with and are actually KEEEN on the stuff i go to ..like duude, i invited one of my best friends to MOS tonight, and she didn't even seem enthusiastic about iit. so she basically denied my invite. wtf?! IT'S FREE TICKETS!
ii met awesome people who have become friends in 2007, whether it's been from insearch, fiddler nights, or good charlotte gigs. they're the kids who seem to enjoy every moment and not really worry about what the future brings. they take life as it comes. enjoy it.
i'm not saying that i don't like the friends i spent 6 years of high school with anymore, i'm just saying that my outlook on life seems to appear differently to that of theirs.. we all change, it's a part of life. i still keep in contact with those people but as for being #1 on my social circle... hhhmmm .... if any of them read this, i'm not trying to insult you or anything, and I DON'T HATE YOU. some of you will always be my best friends. that'll be FOREVER. and i'm just gonna admit now, schoolies '06 was probably one of the best memories with you, even though that was the first beginning of change in our friendship group. (others may agree...)
to the new kids ii befriended in '07 ... whether you're in sydney, melbourne, adelaide, or even around europe .... let's keep rockin' at life in '08. more parties, concerts, festivals, TOURS! hope you enjoy what 2008 will bring to you, as i will!

top 7 of 2007.
Everyone has their own list of highlights from the year 2007. I've seen/read about them from tv, podcasts, blogs, etc. So, I've decided, out of pure boredom, to compile my own list ... Entitled... My top 7 of 2007! And this doesn't go in any particular order....
1. FUTURE SEX/LOVE SHOW 07. Easily, justin timberlake had to be the HOTTEST gig of the year. I'm lucky that I got to be present at all 3 shows in sydney...worked 2, went to one.
2. PUT UP YOUR HANDS & SAY, I DON'T WANNA BE IN LOVE! Yes. I must say.. This year, I've had numerous encounters with the band Good Charlotte, and it all began with NOVA on january 17th. The GC experience included exclusive gigs, MTV award shows, two concerts and an amazing group of friends who share the same interest... A love of joel, benji, billy, paul and dean!
3. FIDDLER FRIDAYS! Oh yes, the place to party on a friday night... The mean fiddler! Ok, so it may be all the way out in rouse hill, but it is tha best club venue in sydney. My fave place to party!! Had some fun times there this year, best one was my 19th with amazing friends, new & old! Can't wait for ministry of sound on NYD!
4. HOUSE PARTIES FTW! All the remaining 18th's and the 19th's plus one 21st woot woot! One in exception, mandy's 19th .... Ah hem ... Yes, that night I don't wanna bring up again!! What a shocker!
5. OCTOBER 29, 2007 = <3. The return of simple plan had to be in my list of course. How could you not see it coming?! I had to race down to the internet cafe in eastwood at like 9am just to catch the live webcast and world premiere of 'when I'm gone'..totally worth it!! The song is amazing. All throughout november/december I voted my ass for it everynight on the hot30 and nova, even sending the hot30 crew angry emails hahaha!! That even got mentioned on aiir. But all that was forgotten when the hot30 team hooked me up with Pierre via telephone and I got to speak with him one friday morning. I love the hot30 right now. I guess what sucks is that the new album won't be out til 2008. We're doin it kids!
6. THIS AINT A SCENE, ITS A GODDAMN ARMS RACE! Hahahaha. My fall out boy/pete wentz obsession was a big part of '07. Two concerts!! March 8th and sept 26th. Pete wentz is a sexy mofo... Well, that's what I thought in the beginning of 2007. But noww..ahahahaha. He's alright. Not that hott anymore LOL. Still one of my top bands tho!!
7. NEW LIFE...SORTA! Well, a new daily routine to get used to. From high school to... What do you call insearch?! Its not quite uni, not really college...but wtf?! Anywayz...yess....the whole transition from high school to tertiary life and juggling that with work...I think I did it pretty well. Only thing I regret is... I wish I saved my pennies more. =[ but yes. I like my course, tho I can't wait to finish in may '08 - I need a study break. And I love my job at acer arena..its good fun! And the pay's alright.

Simple Plan: 12.2.2008!!
So, Simple Plan's new album cover just got released on SP.com today! All I'm gonna say is, that it looks goddamn AWESOME. =]
And, I've probably been over-analyzing this wayy too much. LOL! I can't stop looking at it!! But then again, if you were studying semiotics like me this semester, you'd probably do the same thing. Farrrrk. I need a holiday.
So, I quiite like the concept of it. It's like they've just overcome troubles in life, and altho the world seems to be a worser place, it's not. And Simple Plan will still come out better than ever, on their upcoming record. They're still the same guys as they were when they released their first record, they're just older, more mature, and have definitely grown as musicians!!
Urgh. Semiotics are killing my life. LOL!
So, there's my two cents worth.

inconsolable.
omfg! i am so keen for all these concerts in 2008, not to mention that almost half of them are occurring where i work!! it's so exciting, i would rather go than get paid for it. one i really really want to check out is happening on february 22nd!

easily, the best ever boy band of the 90's. i was always a bsb fan. i chose them over nsync back in the day. (but hey JT is still the sexy man!) hahaha. i love nick carter too!! but i rekon they would be amazing to see live. even if there are only FOUR left. oh well. pre sales started today. gay-uhh. i need more shifts.
but i cant work more shifts, on the account i have a heavy load of assignments to do!! you know, probably like everyone else, i'm really really OVER this semester. i just want it to end soo bad!! can't wait for the xmas/new year break ... i'm going on a week-long drinking binge. AMEN TO THAT!

Bad fashion && Good music!
Do you know what I am really really hating in fashion at the moment? Well, specifically, guys' fashion.
It's ...
THOSE HIDEOUS SCARVES. ie Matt Corby && other Idol dudes this year, and most recently, the boys in Simple Plan. I think that is officially the WORST guy fashion trend ever. It's not SO HOT RIGHT NOW. In my mind, boys wearing scarves is the equivalent to girls wearing fluro baggy tops that are bought from Supre. I am so over that fluro trend, and I didn't even get into it in the first place!!
But, there is one difference here. At least, when Pierre, Chuck & Sebastien wear scarves, it looks like they still have a neck, where as with Matt Corby, he has none!! MUHAHAHA!!!
OH, and in other news, MAROON FIVE are touring AUSTRALIA next year!! oh my god and guess who is their support act?! ONEREPUBLIC!!! Oh, I love their Timbaland-produced song Apologize. =D
But guess where the Sydney show is??

Aaah. So many good concerts at my work next year, Hilary Duff, BON JOVI, Maroon 5. OMG. Heaven. <3 Why buy a ticket when I can get paid for listening to them sing?!
